Matt Stapleton is a West Australian musician who moved to Vancouver in 2022. He sings, plays guitar and fiddle, and has been performing in bands since the 1980s. At the Festival he will be performing shanties and songs of the sea in his a unique and energetic style. Come along for a family friendly sing along experience.

World of Music and Arts was founded in 1997 and has been serving the Richmond community ever since. In September 2015, the school relocated to a large state-of-the-art facility in the Steveston neighbourhood, providing an excellent environment for music study.

STORIES on WHEELS is an original street theatre storytelling act for the whole family. Tales are brought to life by a high-energy comic performer, using beautifully illustrated picture cards displayed in a magnificent miniature wooden stage attached to the back a bicycle. Featuring gorgeous illustrations by local artists, as well as traditional picture cards from Japan, several short stories are told with music, dramatic action, and audience interaction.

The Diatonics are a jazz ensemble dedicated to bringing fresh energy to a timeless art form. The group is comprised of young, talented musicians who are dedicated to the genre of jazz. Blending influences from swing, bebop, and contemporary music, they create a sound that is both rooted in tradition and shaped by modern creativity.

The Buttery Biscuits are a young rock band proudly from Richmond who originally met through minor hockey. Connor (12) and Sejal (13) will impress you with their smooth vocals. Brothers Carter (10) and Keegan (12) show off their talents on guitar and drums. And Samantha locks down the groove with her bass.

We are a community jazz band that plays traditional jazz from the 1920-40s. We love to spread the joy of swing and gather to jazz jam weekly.
