Located in the historic Steveston waterfront, Garry Point Park offers scenic views and open spaces to explore throughout the event.

Getting Here

  • The Garry Point Park parking lot will be closed, except for festival vehicles. Limited free and paid parking is available in Steveston Village.

    See below for alternative parking and transportation options.

    There are a limited number of accessible parking stalls on-site. A pass is required and must be shown for access.

  • Enjoy some extra fresh air by taking your bike to the festival. Richmond has many scenic and convenient bike paths from Richmond Brighouse and Bridgeport stations:

    Wheel Watch, a free bike valet service, is available.

  • ‍Several routes end at the Steveston Exchange, a short walking distance to Garry Point Park:

    From Brighouse Station: Bus Routes 401, 402, 406

  • A shuttle from McMath Secondary School (4251 Garry Street) will travel to the Festival Site at Garry Point Park approximately every 10 to 15 minutes from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

    A shuttle from Richmond City Hall (6911 No. 3 Road) will travel to the Festival Site at Garry Point Park approximately every 20 to 30 minutes from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. Additional parking is available at Minoru Park on the second floor of the parkade.

    The last shuttles from Garry Point Park will depart at 6:00 pm.

Know Before you Go

    Comfortable footwear is recommended.

    Some activities may have limited capacity.

    Children age seven and under must wear a life jacket on board and are advised to do so when viewing from the dock.

Accessibility

Sensory Kits

Sensory kits can be signed out for use during the festival at the information booth.

Washrooms

Accessible washrooms are available in the public washroom building at the Garry Point Park concession.  Accessible porta-potties are available through the festival field on site.

Parking

A limited number of accessible parking spaces will be available on site at Garry Point Park parking lot. Please have SPARC BC/Accessible parking pass to show at the park entrance.

Dock

Due to the extreme incline of the dock during low tide, wheelchair access will be available only from 10:00 am to 11:30 am and 3:00-4:30pm on May 2 and 3 and 9:00am – 12:00pm on May 3, at the guest’s own discretion.

There is no accessible ramp to access the boat. Therefore, viewing of the ship is limited to the land side. Visitors with mobility issues may view the boats from an accessible viewing area directly across from the ship inside the Garry Point Park.
