Ships to Shore Event

  • Yes, there are activities for all ages. Kids’ Cove offers hands-on workshops, crafts, face painting and puppet performances designed for younger visitors.

Ship Boarding

  • Only for ship boarding. Ship viewing from the dock is available at no cost.

  • $10.29 + GST per person.

  • Please email shipstoshore@richmond.ca and a member of the team will be able to assist with your tickets.

  • Admission is free for children under three years old.

  • Please bring a digital or printed copy of the tickets attached to your purchase confirmation email.

  • Boarding is scheduled in one-hour time slots. Within that window, your time on the ship will be brief to allow all guests a chance to visit comfortably.

  • No. Public access is limited to the upper deck only. Interior areas are not open to visitors.

  • This is a self-guided experience. You’ll have time to walk the upper deck, observe the ship’s rigging and equipment, and enjoy the views. Crew members will be on board to answer questions.

  • Due to the steep gangway and ship conditions, this experience is not accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, strollers, or other mobility aids.
    All visitors must be able to independently navigate a steep gangway, uneven surfaces, and stairs.

  • Strollers are not permitted on board. Stroller parking will be available nearby.

  • Please arrive as close as possible to the start of your boarding window.
    You must check in no later than 20 minutes before your time slot ends.
    Example: For a 1:00–2:00 pm ticket, arrive by 1:40 pm.

  • Late arrivals (after the 20-minute cutoff) may not be permitted to board.

  • Yes, but all children must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Lifejackets are not required for adults, as the dock and deck are fenced. However, they will be available for anyone who prefers to wear one.

    Children ages seven and under must wear a life jacket on board, and are advised to do so when viewing from the dock.

  • Large backpacks, baby carriers, and oversized bags are not recommended due to limited space and safety considerations.

  • The City of Richmond may cancel boarding sessions due to severe weather, safety concerns, or operational needs. If your session is cancelled, you will receive a full refund.

  • All bookings are final and non-refundable.
    Tickets are valid only for the selected time slot and cannot be exchanged.
